Sanjay Leela Bansali's first TV saga is here and by the looks of it the story does show lots of promise. The maker has ensured he is not going to compromise on anything starting from granduer, to story to the actors and that reflects from the very first scene.

New Age Television has arrived. At least an attempt to make something radically different yet engaging has hit the TV screens and we have Channel V and Lost Boy Productions to thank for.

After all the hype surrounding the missing case of Gauri Bhonsle, Khamoshiyan- the Star Plus 7:30 starer turned out to be the story of a girl in search of her roots and family in India, while she is based in London with her Parents.

Samar (Shahrukh Khan) decides to diffuse bombs after the woman he was in love with, Meera (Katrina Kaif), way back in 2002, decides to dump him in exchange of a promise she makes to god in order to save him after an accident.

“Veera,” produced by Beyond Dreams Pvt. Ltd., finally made its way into our homes and I must say it was worth the wait. Airing at the 10.30pm slot and pitted against big shows in the likes of ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain’ on Sony, ‘Punar Vivaah’ on Zee TV and ‘Parichay’ on Colors, the show did manage to enthrall the audience with its simplicity.
